Dolly Parton was born in Sevierville, Tennessee, the forth of twelve children. She began composing at the age of four, with her mother writing down her music as she heard Dolly singing. Since her child years, Dolly began performing on local radio and television programs. The singer tells that even though her appearance often makes an impression of "cheap looking blond", she is used to thinking and taking actions like a man.
