The very first photos of Sophia were made for immediate profit, when she posed for “fumetti” (photoplays) and postcards. Later, when her acting career began, the photos of Sophia were made to create the recognition of her all over Europe. The postcards of her in 1950’s were published in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden. Some of Sophia Loren pictures show her wearing the film costume.
